I agree. It’s worse to the person imprisoned by needed to be center of attention. She’s flashy because she’s looking outside herself for validation. It’s a never winning proposition. Truly confident people dress well as a reflection of their self-respect but never to gain validation from others.

Why is Philippa M. jealous and catty? I’m not being argumentative, I genuinely see this (i.e. catty and jealous) on blogs whenever another woman critiques another woman she’s called out as being jealous? I read Philippa M.’s post and thought she didn’t like Amal’s style. I suppose I don’t see the connection. I must be missing something.

Personally, I respect that Amal has been able to carve out a role for herself doing meaningful work. It doesn’t matter that her celebrity marriage and her ability to bring tremendous PR is the basic underlying reason. She actually seems to acknowledge this. I don’t like her fashion or her style (I prefer understated, classic and chic looks) but I like that she brings humanitarian issues to communities (mass public) who wouldn’t otherwise know about these types of issues.

I think on oposit of her job clothes, she likes to wear fun dresses. This time, the volume, the hair and the earrings it’s too much. I mean, change the hair and small earrings and change the hair just a little bit would’ve been perfect. Over all she’s gorgeous.
