Another beautiful dress. She always looks gorgeous. But, I’m shocked that she never wears anything “cheap.” Every piece of clothing and jewelry that have been identified have been very expensive. Even if I was rich, I don’t think I’d spend that much… wow…

I loved it until I scrolled down and saw it was a mini. I’m sorry — I think it looks tacky. Even beyond the too-shortness of it (and of course she has the body for it; not disputing that), it just has a haphazard look about it. I think the real Madame Vionnet would not have been pleased. Everything she created was the epitome of elegance.

I don’t think it’s a tacky dress. I think Amal is just having fun with this style. Meaning she must dress conservative for work, clean lines and such, so at special occasions like this with close family and friends, it kind of enables her to “let her hair down” and “rock” some styles that she would not wear to work, in the courtroom, or to be conservative. The gold metallic makes her sparkle and after all this IS a party, a celebration. Why not rock a funky cool party dress and some cool shoes? It’s kind of like “Moto meets Glamour”. I think she pulls this look off quite well. 🙂

Thanks again Nati for this great site! It’s empowering! I look at these great styles that Amal continues to wow us with and I think, “why the heck not”!? It encourages me to feel empowered and to simply be yourself, create your own style, be who YOU wish to be, and anyone can be beautiful in their own way, etc. All of these thoughts come to mind when I see new posts of Amal’s style from shoes to hats to hand bags to outfits to make up to jewelry. It’s empowering. 🙂 None of us have to be wealthy, or married to a hunk like George. We just have to be beautiful, care about ourselves, be the best we can be, within our own means……and that is what Amal shows us. 🙂
